Exciting music, exciting performances!

The conductor has generously allowed his musicians to follow their instincts in dynamics and interpretation as well as his own. Therefore, the timpani part is more than just a muffled background rhythm, but strong and present. The timpanist is a vital part of keeping the orchestra moving. I have sent the CD to my son who is a timpanist, but it has not arrived yet. I'm sure he will love the excitement of these pieces, thanks to a wonderful conductor.
