Great sacd

if you've never heard this. what is wrong with you?
1 of 1 found this helpful i'm more of a vinyl man, but finding a perfect copy of this masterpiece has proved difficult and i finally succumbed to buying a cd version. it was a great choice. the clarity and dynamic response is excellent. my old ears aren't perfect anymore, but i detected no appreciable loss..possibly because the telltale signs of difference..high vocals, cymbals and such..are not prevalent in this particular performance. the music itself is, of course, superb..extremely emotional, improvisational and experimental. if you're new to quicksilver i highly recommend happy trails as a way to discover classic sixties jamming. sit back and enjoy it. i envy you. nobody outdeads the dead, but this is about as close to even par as anything out there. sorry phish fans.

Miles on sacd
I never thought I could compare a cd to a vinyl album, but I find these hi-resolution SACD's to outperform my cherished records. They have excellent dynamics and are perfectly quiet when they're supposed to be.
