Overall great value but needs a little tinkering to fit properly
Reason I've said I'd recommend and good value is that they work at a great price.
Reason I marked down the quality, is that there is a hole at the end of each shoe, to mount the handbrake hardware from the old shoes, and that the hole is around 2mm too small.
Luckily I had a dremel to hand so it wasn't a major issue for me and I forgave this problems due to the low price and otherwise good quality.

Amazing little computers if you've the knowledge to extract the potential.
1 of 1 found this helpful Took the IDE dom straight out of mine, modified the side cover to accept a 2tb 2.5" Sata drive I had laying around, swapped the 1gb ram for a 4gb stick and added USB tuners. Only 3.1gb recognised despite pae Linux kernel due to chipset.
Installed Debian without a desktop environment, then connected via SSH to configure static IP.and install/setup Samba, Nginx and TvHeadEnd Now serves files and TV streams around the home, and will host a website I've not yet created. Only moving part is the drive I've installed. Without that it's completely silent.
Graphics are the weak point, though for my needs running as a headless server don't interest me. If you wanted to use one connected to a display for HD films, budget the extra for a Broadcom BCM970015 mini PCI-E video decoder card.
Great deal of interesting information about the HP T5740 out there on ParkyTowers website but can't unfortunately link it here. Google is your friend!

Potentially great value on Windows or Mac. NOT for Linux.
1 of 1 found this helpful It may well be good on a Windows PC or Mac, but unfortunately is useless currently on Linux.
To be fair it wasn't sold as Linux compatible and I knew I was taking a gamble not knowing the chipset before arrival.
Hopefully other Linux users can learn from my experience.
