Reporter meets Magic
I've always liked Alan Davies on QI so was glad to get the first season of 'Jonathan Creek'. It is a funny but heartwarming murder mystery. Yes, heartwarming because Jonathan is so befuddled by his writer cohort in solving murders that we see for the first time, he might have some tender emotions and so might she.
I don't care for the smarmy magician, but the actor plays smarmy well so he's quite a contrast to the quiet, brilliant person responsible for his fantastic magic tricks.
I like the series and may try to find the rest just to see what happens to this odd couple.

Peace at last
My five kitties were fighting, hissing and growling all the time and we couldn't figure out why. But with the Feliway, peace has been restored. The price was definitely right as it's twice as much in the brand name pet stores. The delivery was quick and I am happy my cats are happy again. Will be ordering more just in case. Vet said nothing wrong physically but with 3 girls and 2 boys, you never know what can happen.

Was It the Good Faires?
As a lover of historical mysteries, the Pat McIntosh series with lawyer Gil Cuningham and his equally astute wife, Alys caught my attention with "The Merchant's Mark". Ever since I've waited eagerly for the next book. "The Stolen Voice" does not disappoint being as well written as expected. One finds oneself transported back to medivael Scotland the and Highlands. Gil, being of an astute logical mind and Alys understanding human nature search for the answer to why a child who disappeared 30 years ago has come back and only looks a few year older. Also, Gil must discover why some of the country's best choir singers are disappearing. The development of the plot kept me glued to the book and the ending was a big surprise. The only difficulty one might have is the unfamilar Scottish language words but usually they can be figured out by the sentences around them. This problem doesn't take away from the fun in reading the book. Pat McIntosh continues to delight her fans with these characters and their lives. I can't wait for her next book.
