The Threshingfloor by Wovenhand (CD, 2010)
    Mar 15, 2022
Wovenhand is nothing short of genius, in my opinion. Give 'em a listen!
If you are one of the lucky people who know Wovenhand, then you know what to expect. For any new folks out there, Wovenhand is the brainchild of David Eugene Edwards, a man of conservative religion and a sort of down home, almost off the grid mentality. His music weaves Christian themes with the darker side of humanity to create some truly haunting music. He picked up where he left off when his previous band, Sixteen Horsepower, ended, crafting music of a lovely, even spectral beauty. Straddling the increasingly blurry divide between Alternative and Folk, Wovenhand has a sound that is unique and a musical ethos that is at once spiritual, humanist and ideologically complex. Take a listen to them on YouTube or wherever. I'm a metalhead and I love Wovenhand. They are worth the time.
Tygers of Pan Tang - Tygers Of Pan Tang [New CD]
    Mar 15, 2022
The Tygers of Pan Tang still got it, and this is good.
I was expecting a good but not great album from the Tygers, but I got something better. This is after the reunification, and with that came my feelings that it would be a listenable album, something to rock out to once in a while, but honestly, the music was better than I expected. It's good and hard, and sounds like the boys were having a good time rather than worrying about album sales. It just has a good feel to it. Can't really explain. I like it, I like it a lot.

Just like the sad whale song
Gwar is good, Gwar is loud. What more do you need?
