Perfect movie for the hopeless romantic.

Michelle and Al as Frankie & Johnny, put together an undeniable chemistry that makes you completely forget that they are acting. This is just an intimate moment in these people's lives that we are lucky enough to view. Two middle aged people who haven't had the fairy tale anything happen in their lives, bump into each other at a diner. Frankie, already working there as a waitress, and Johnny starting out as a cook after being released from prison. Pacino puts in a role that just blows away my already monstrous opinion of him. The miniscule expressions and body language between these two and also between Pacino and another waitress make words obsolete. This is just a fine romantic movie that anyone would enjoy and everyone should own. It is one of those movies that does not age or grow boring. I watch it once a month if I have it, normally it is loaned out to friends...! If you are a Michelle Pfeiffer fan, and I am, you will love her in this. She brings to this role, what few actresses can. She has this power of character that no man can resist. It's something that she was born with and every now and then, she brings out in her movies. In this movie she is in the zone. This is Michelle at her finest.
