NOT suitable for perfection 500 series
The seller did not have a photo of the actual item. This is not a suitable replacement for a Perfection 500 wick. It is not a sheet for the wick, instead it is a collection of strings that are hemmed together at the bottom. The strings are hard to direct and get caught on the internal parts. The slit for the carriage gears did not line up with where the holes are in the metal collar so I had to cut the hem to make another slit. This made it more difficult to insert. And it was too tight so I had to remove a staple just get it on. In the end, it was too tight for the carriage mechanism to raise and lower so I had to throw it away.
