John Pearse 2410 Electric Guitar Strings Super EZ Bend Splits 9-46
Mar 24, 2016
Very few Strings measure up. These do.
These strings speak for themselves. Try them at least once before you buy any other pack of strings. You won't regret it. The tone doesn't hold up as long as a set of Elixir polywebs, whose tone I am NOT a fan of anyway (and nanowebs do NOT last as long as John Pearse strings), but that aside, they beat every string in every factor that can be measured. I use them on a double locking tremolo and they last significantly longer without breaking than every other brand/model of string I've used including GHS (regulars and thin cores), D'Addario (XL and Pro Steel), Ernie Ball hybrid slinkys, Dean Markley blue steels and DR dimebag set. The only inconvenience (and only for double locking trem users), is that the wound strings are not wound all the way to the end like an ernie ball, so if you feed your strings through the tuner towards the bridge, you'll still have to cut off the excess string core on those 3 strings (4 if you get a wound G). The only string on the planet I've seen that you can string a double locking trem with NO wire cutters is Ernie Ball. So if they're giving them to you for free, yeah go ahead and change them every 5 minutes. But if not, do yourself a favor for your tone and longevity and buy John Pearse's. He recently quit manufacturing my absolute favorite set of bass strings (you can't get pearse 45-105 anymore, at least I haven't found them except for NOS) so I buy these packs of guitar strings 5 at a time just in case I never see them again. Might have to make a bulk order...
