plastic cracks in a couple days

Had professional water/plumber install and it cracked on both ends; carefully followed instructions exactly, careful to not over tighten, he has now repaired and reinstalled, hopefully it holds up.......when removing after observing the cracks/leakage several days later, the pvc screwed into each end was NOT over tightened.
