Wider rip guide than what comes with the smaller saws.
I've had the 6.5" circular saw for a few years and it came with one of these rip guides. I used it quite often. I just got the bigger 7.25" circular saw and it didn't come with the guide. I was using the guide from the smaller saw on the big one but it wasn't really keeping a straight line and it would only allow cuts about 4" wide. I ordered this item and figured it was the same guide but it is actually over an inch longer than the small saw's guide. It fits nice and snug in the foot of the big saw and it allows me to rip things that are wider now.

works on central 14" with some mods
2 of 3 found this helpful I had to drill and thread 2 new holes in the table a bit lower than the original ones. I had to shave a bit of metal off the front of the piece that has the tightening knob. The first cuts I made were good. Tall resaw cuts about 3" high were supported well.
