I am a retired Army vessel captain, broadcaster and engineer, and handle communications for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, with over 24 years of service. Excellent for broadcast and audiophiles! Highly Recommend!
As a broadcaster, I certainly have used a number of headphones over the years. What I have not tried where open air headphones such as the Audio Technica ATH-AD700's, until my purchase on ebay. What a pleasant surprise! The headphones are surprisingly light and very comfortable! These do not boost the low end like some headphones. There is some high end boost that sounds fantastic. These are basically a very realistic sounding set of headphones. The cushions are covered with a soft microfiber type material, not like the others with thin vinyl that eventually breaks down and ends up on your ears. One note, if the headphones seem a bit wide for your head, just bend the two metal rods at the top to suit your needs. Comfort, quality construction, and a nice clear sound with pleasant high boost, you will LOVE these!

A goo reliable radio that works when you need it too!
A full featured radio that is reliable and reasonably easy to use. The audio is very loud to overcome vessel noise. Works nicely with a remote mic as well.
