Honeywell - Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi Connectivity - Silver

Almost a home run!

Not 5 stars, but close... Product was easy to install, and does a pretty good job of managing my temperature so all my rooms are pretty close in temp, which surprisingly is an improvement from my old Rheem thermostat (I have a Rheem modulating furnace)... so it shows that it has a very good learning ability by monitoring environmental factors and tendencies without any direct input from me. Also, I like the Google Home integration so I can bump up the heat a degree just by speaking to my phone or Google Mini in the room. Now the not so great... It feels a bit cheap in materials like it may break from pushing on the display as I manually set the temperature. Luckily, I use my phone app most of the time to control it. Secondly, it doesn't offer many options through the interface (which I thought was the point of having a smart app that can control the thermostat rather than standing in front of it and pushing on the touchscreen. Thirdly, the Honeywell web service has been unavailable a couple of times in the short time I've had this. That means that you can't control it remotely because you need to connect through the web for authentication in order to control the stat. These outages have lasted several hours each time. This is not a big deal for me personally, but it may be for some other people who need to control it reliably from outside the home. Ultimately, I'm happy with my purchase, but it could have been even better.
