E6750 Core 2 Duo
The Intel E6750 is an excellent processor--capable of more speed than the stock cooler will allow it to produce. It is a fine and capable CPU at the stock speed of 2.66 GHz, but is capable reaching higher speeds. I ran mine to 3.2 GHz without trying hard at all. For most computing, more than stock speed is a waste and possibly harmful to your processor. The 6750 in my computer runs about 43 degrees celcius at stock speeds and about 58 to sixty when overclocked. Investment in a good, aftermarket cooler might be good for running this processor, especially if any long-term overclocking is a desire.

Great card
This isn't a gaming card, though it can do some of that. It's just a really good all-around card. The reason I got it was to power the graphics for a Dell E521. The Dell is sweet, but the power supply is only a measly 305W. The 8600GT is not a power hog, and runs happily from a PCI slot. I like my 8600GT a lot.

Good, inexpensive card!
Good card. Maybe not as sharp as could be hoped, but fine at this price point!
