Nothing ever changes. Nobody learns anything from history...
What happens when a bunch of deadly crawlers find their Great Leader out cold on the floor? What if he recovers? How can he recover if he's sent all the top doctors to their death or to the prison gulags? Who's next in line of succession?
Change Stalin for whichever dictator you like can think of - same results - different language.
Morbid humour.

Excellent
If you've got a Mac on OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, you'll need this guide.
I've used these guides to Mac since - oh, can't remember when. Clear and useful. As little or much as you need. With iLife etc covered too.

eMac 1GHz - short of puff!
I bought 'Emma' [billed as a 1.25GHz DDR] so I could learn Mac OS X 10.5. Sadly, Emma is only a 1GHz P133 eMac!
The plus side - for 55 quid all-in, I got Airport Extreme installed, the very useful extra clear stand + key, [usually about 50 quid the pair from eBay], 40MB HDD, keyboard, lots of documentation, OS restore discs, OS9, Apple Care disc and MS Office 2004 for Mac etc - only her box missing really.
The downside, apart from the processor, was a missing mouse [common to most eMacs], and a scratch on the screen - which I didn't notice for a couple of days even after the big clean. Apart from the PC133 bus processor = no OS X 10.5, the 256MB RAM isn't really enough to smoothly run OS 10.3.9 and applications. Currently things go slowly but steadily. Getting connected with Airport is smooth, iTunes is great, Excel is a struggle just to open, but Word is OK. I use Applejack and Macjanitor once a week to keep system permissions etc in order.
With an RAM upgrade [around 20 Quid to 500MB], Emma will run OS 10.4. To run OS 10.5, you'll need a 1.25GHz or above DDR. There are DDR 1GHz eMacs around, but I haven't seen any advertised.
So, I've got a good little first Mac if a bit limited. However, the screen is great, sound OK, - haven't tried the external VGA yet. Luckily, I didn't pay the full price for a 1.25GHz!
