Works so far
1 of 1 found this helpful I thought I was getting an authentic Black and Decker battery but it’s a Chinese aftermarket battery. My error for not reading the fine print. Works fine for now but I’ve only had it for 2 weeks - past experience with aftermarket products is they don’t hold up too well. Just have to wait and see.

I’m no mechanic
I’m pretty handy but not much for working on motor vehicles. I couldn’t find a shop willing to work on my Eton Viper 150, which hasn’t run in 3 years. I resigned myself to changing out the carburetor even though I have not done anything like it before. What did I have to lose since it wasn’t running anyway? Although it was a bit of a struggle since I didn’t really know what I was doing I did manage to get it done. I changed from a manual choke to an automatic one and somehow Eton in their wisdom provides a red plug for the automatic choke to plug into - it’s tucked into the wires underneath the handlebars. After doing some other minor service I started the engine and it purred- I was shocked. Now that I know how, I could probably change out the carburetor in less than an hour.

Very pleased
I priced these out at play-it-again sports and even used ones were over $100. Mostly easy to assemble other than the rubber feet which I pounded on with a mallet. Very sturdy and holds a lot of weight without any problem.
