New For Dell Latitude E7250 E7450 E6540 E6520 90W AC Charger Power Cord Adapter
Jun 16, 2020
OK but................
Works fine however I did learn this morning that it is sensitive to heat.
I was on my laptop on my back deck. When I plugged in the unit there was no indication that the battery was charging. I noticed that the AC adapter was laying next to my seat in full sun and it was hot. I move the adapter to the shade and in less than 1 minute it started powering my laptop.
I did not rate the quality as "low" but i do fear that this could be an indicator of poor design or manufacturing. BTW I have never had a problem using my OEM charger out here on the deck.

Shop Fox W1854 120-Volt 18-Inch 1.5 HP Variable Speed Feed Open-End Drum Sander

Great value. I would not hesitate to purchase again.
I got lucky in a number of ways. I had been in the market for an open-ended drum sander for a few months. I was looking for used or new; I really had no preference. However, I did want to stay close to or less than 1K$.
I was able to find new 10”/20” sanders for under 1K$ but any wider sanders were 1.5 to 2K$ or much more. Drum sanders on the used market locally are rare as hen’s teeth.
More or less on a whim, I did an eBay search hoping to find a used unit at a reasonable cost and within driving distance. I was very surprised when this new 18”/36” Shop Fox appeared.
It was listed as a special introductory offer am not going to say how much I paid only that it was surprised at the price. I was what I would have been thrilled to pay for a used 18”/36” unit. Also, the shipping was at a discounted promotional fee. The price is much more now. Long story short; I waited a couple of days but placed the order October 28.
UPS Freight attempted delivery at my home on November 4th and I was lucky that it failed. Had they been successful I would have had a 238 pound, double-palleted “Paperweight” on the sidewalk next to my driveway with no way to move it. I cannot say this enough, “Unless you have a loading dock or a fork lift handy DO NOT HAVE THIS DELIVERED TO YOUR HOME, make arrangements to pick it up at the freight terminal. The freight carriers will unload it at your curb; beyond that it is your problem.
I rented a U-Haul trailer the next day which the freight terminal loaded with a fork lift. I was able to back it up my very steep driveway to my garage/workshop door. I then could slide it down the ramp and into my shop.
It is packaged very, very well. It was strapped down to a sturdy wood pallet. The cardboard box that surrounds it is very thick and heavy with a plastic film overwrap. The stand is not assembled but the pieces are protectively packaged.
I finally got to use it a few days ago. I am impressed. Operation is pretty straight forward and simple. With the loaded 100 grit sandpaper, it does a great job of smoothing a rough surface. I do not have dust collection system; however, I was able to find adapters to connect a 2.5” shop vac hose to the machine’s 4” outlet. It does a fine job with no dust escaping but it should be noted I am not doing heavy material removal on wide stock.
I used it to flatten some 9” wide,1.5’ thick cypress boards that came from a river bottom log. They were cupped and warped but the sander provided a dead flat surface with just a few passes.
I am also impressed that this item is handled by Grizzly Industrial, a respected name in machinery. Their customer service was outstanding in locating the item after the failed delivery at my home.
If I could figure out a way to pay for it; I would absolutely but it again, even at the current price.
