Great mid range fast zoom lens
In 1993 I bought a Tamron 35 - 105 f/2.8 model 65D lens which I used on Nikon 35mm film SLR bodies and on both Fuji and Nikon DSLR (DX format) bodies shooting go-kart and motorcycle races, horse shows, and fraternal order ceremonies until it wore out after twenty plus years of hard use.
I bought this lens as a replacement for the older fast Tamron zoom lens and found that it was an even better lens for the way I shoot than the earlier highly satisfactory 35 - 105 f/2.8 Tamron lens, partially due to the additional 7mm on the wide end of the zoom range. The lens is tack sharp at the point of focus at all available apertures and the bokeh is pleasing at the apertures where it is obvious. Like the other Tamron zooms that I have used the zoom ring works in the same direction as Nikon zooms so that zooming is not confusing when working with both Nikon and Tamron lenses.

It has died!!
2 of 2 found this helpful I used this micro SD card and the adapter to record raw photo files in a Nikon D7000 DSLR camera.
The first group of about 35 image files were corrupted (partial image and various solid color patterns)
The next group (about 25 image files) appeared correctly recorded, then the card "unformatted" itself blocking the shutter and giving the "FOR" display on the cameras top screen!
The card is not now usable even when reformatted! It immediately "unformats" itself when the shutter release is pressed!
Using a different SD card in the same slot (#1) and with the same camera settings shows that the camera is working properly leading to the conclusion that the card is defective.

Nice little period era steamer!
This locomotive is my first purchase after returning to the hobby some 30+ years away from model railroading. It operates better than I expected and has a good sound both on analog & DCC control. It handled a short (4 freight cars and an office car) train on the club layout including the 2+% grades on the "mountain division" without any sign of being close to its load capacity.
My only regret is that the prototype of this locomotive is about 60 - 90 years old in the era I model!
