Good film, but only the one, no sequels.
I thought the packaging was deceptive. It's only the one film included in the case not a cycle of films.

Good film, embarrassing commentary
Vampyr is an old silent film, with some sound, and was restored in order to make it more approachable for modern audiences. i understand this when I have to say that this particular DVD has the most annoying audio commentary I have ever listened to.
The two so-called experts carry on like a pair of school kids and don't take their responsibility to present the movie to the audience with much gravitas. As a result you will enjoy the film much better with the commentary turned off, because if you leave it on, you won't get too much of an insight into the film at all.
Apart from that, if inclined to more arthouse cinema, this DVD is a good price, but if you can afford the Criterion edition, I would recommend that you buy that, and not this particular disc.-

Good for an Import
The only place I could find this movie was on You Tube, but for a film this rare tbere are a number of versions you can get from manufacturers.
The good thing about this German iimport is that yes, there is an Eng,ish llanguage track , often foreign imports dont offer this and it can be a little frustrating.
The film is in the top 5 of my favourite John Carpenter movies, it is rare, but once you see it you'll be as hooked as I was.
Recemmended.
