AMT/ERTL USS Reliant Review
1 of 1 found this helpful All models require work - sanding, painting, filling gaps - but AMT/ERTL did a pretty good job with this kit. The finished model measures approximately 12" wide by 19" long. (The warp nacelles, alone, are 11" long.) All of the panel lines are recessed, not raised, and there are no major fit issues.
Die-hard fans might opt for photo-etch to improve aft details like the shuttle bays, but it's not critical. You can build a respectable representation of the USS Reliant with kit-supplied parts. There's also plenty of room for lighting, if you choose to do so.
Side-note: The original (1995) and newer releases (2011, 2012) of this kit are virtually identical.
