Domesday Book codes unravelled
Much more readable than the author's previous treatises - he lays out the proof of his code-breaking historical work in an intriguing story, and provides reference tables for conversion between the varied units used in Norman England at the time of the Domesday Book. Any serious student of medieval English history will welcome this as a guide to accurate interpretation of the epic Domesday survey collected on King William's orders. And the basis of modern tax systems.

Workhorse pond pump, accepts prefilter
Seems to do its job - it's been in my pond several weeks. I needed a pump which would accept a prefilter (to reduce the load on the external waterfall filter) and this was a cost-effective pump. Most pond pumps suck water in directly into the housing; this one has an intake port. Yay.
