Great model kit for beginners
This is a kit designed for people who are just getting into model building. It is in 1/24 scale, which is the same as most car and truck kits available. It's detail is very simplified compared to a 1/35 scale kit of the same vehicle, but that is to be expected with a snap together kit. The kit's parts are molded in sand camoflauge color and additional camo and unit markings are included on a sticker sheet (which is easier for kids to use than water slide decals.) Overall, its a great beginners kit for your kids or grand kids and yourself to build together.

Great kit of an interesting vehicle
This is a great little kit that will add an interesting subject to your collection. I wouldn't recommend it to beginners, due to the fragile nature of some of the parts and the care that must be taken when removing parts from the sprue and cleaning them up. There is a Photoetch set available for this, but the kit is already great out of the box, with a small piece of mesh added to the "foot basket" area, and to the underside of the engine's protective "cage". The U.S. Marine figures are great as well. If you like this subject, you can also get the Recoiless Rifle version (M274) or even custom build a M60, M2HMG, or a TOW missile armed version with sourced parts.

1 of 1 found this helpful Great kit, but does not include a drivers compartment. You have to use the crew members, or you can see the empty hull. You might want to use the interior parts from an Academy kit to fill in the void if you don't want to use the crew.
