Good, accurate copy of a period Bowie
One other reviewer mentioned how dull his knife was when he received it. Mine was as well. However it was just not that hard to sharpen it. I use an old ceramic stick set and now have a knife that slices through paper just like all the YouTube reviewers seem to do, lol. This is not a hard use knife. The steel seems pretty soft and it is easy to curl the edge...BUT - it is a fun knife to handle and is quite attractive. This is also marketed as the Santa Fe Bowie, and I bought it because frankly I collect Bowie knives and live in Santa Fe, If you're expecting a Randall for fifteen bucks shipped, don't bother. But if you want an attractive knife that is probably about on par with a trade knife from the 1850s, you can't go wrong here. The bone scales look very nice. With a bit of vinegar aging or some browning solution you can put a patina on it and fit right in at a Mountain Man rendezvous. I recommend it.

Buy these. Several of them.
2 of 2 found this helpful For $2.99 apiece, my only regret is that I only bought two of them. One looks perfect and the other had a very minor scribe line on the flap. I'll probably get more scratches on it in the course of one weekend in the field. Fits a Buck 110 perfectly, and with a little stuffing in the bottom, a Buck 500 reasonably well also. O even stuck a 4 inch coffin handle switchblade in it and it works fine.

VERY nice
Blade well centered and shaving sharp out of the box. There is no "China" stamp anywhere on it. The point is sharper than any recent CaseXX I have seen and it is probably sharper. Tip is as good as my Buck 110s and 500s. Very useable and very light compared to a Case or a Buck in this size range, probably because of the single bolster. It will never be a collectible, but if mine are true examples of the fit and finish, these are really good knives. I recommend them as a "user".
