Cleverly-designed minifig
As a stand-alone minifig or in a diaroma, the figure works well.
This was a present for my son, so I'm inferring this from his less-sophisticated remarks.

It's what it is, and what it is is pretty good.
It's a 10th edition Space Marines codex. It's very pretty. The rules are kinda rough, but that's GW for you, and it's going to be true of the supermajority of any edition's codices.

It's Minsc and Boo and some paints. That should be good enough for anyone.
It's important to understand what you are and are not getting here. You are getting a starter Army Painter brush -- not their premier line, and certainly not the best starter brush ever, but an entirely workable starter brush -- a bunch of Army Painter non-Fanatic paints (which means serviceable but not great and not bad paints), and a surprisingly small-scale Minsc and Boo miniature.
If that sounds like a highly-meh review, it kinda is -- but only so you'll understand why the five stars. What you're promised is exactly what you get, and the combination is actually pretty darned good. The paints are enough (with some mixing and some thinning) to paint the surprisingly-good-for-the-scale miniature. The brush retains a point surprisingly well, even if you might go slightly mad while painting the Ranger and Hamster.
And you get a Minsc and Boo miniature.
In combination, this is worth the buy. The paints alone come pretty close to justifying it, and when you add the threat of going for the eyes -- it's a 5.
