Very Uneven Heat...
Not nearly as good as the older Westinghouse bulb that I was replacing. This one is made in China and has a much smaller filament in it that is NOT placed in the right location in the bulb (i.e. not at the focus point) so the IR radiation pattern is very uneven. The result is that the bulb feels much less warm straight out from the bulb and has "hot spots" at an angle of about 40 to 50 degrees off-axis. It is useless if you want even heat.

A high quality connector...
This male cable connector seems to be high quality and fits tightly. I'd like to find a female version of similar quality.

Low power, reliable and responds rapidly...
2 of 2 found this helpful This is the best little low cost ON / OFF remote control relay switch that is available these days. It's reliable, small, and really works nicely in it's specified range limit. If you're using it in the 100 to 200 ft. range it will even work without extending the transmitter's built-in antenna. The receiver's stand-by current is just 8 ma (when the relay is OFF), which means it's great for battery powered applications. It responds very rapidly to a button press and since it is not a single button (toggle style design) you don't have to worry about "double triggering" it. When you're near its maximum range make sure to extend the antenna and hold down the control button for a bit while moving the transmitter around. Maximum range is always achieved by keeping the transmit and receive antennas oriented vertically. Get one, you'll like it!
