ALESIS REIGNS SUPREME!
1 of 1 found this helpful I've had my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit for just a day or two now and so far I absolutely love this thing! I'm a moderate drummer, but mostly a guitarist/composer so I bought this kit to make demos in my studio with. For the price I wasn't expecting such high quality! I did my homework and saw what I was buying but not until I actually put my hands on this kit did I really appreciate the true effort that went into it. Alesis makes all sorts of great products and they're only getting better that's for sure! The response on this kit is awesome, and the pads and rack are made very well. Super impressed with the kick pedal too, happy I spent the extra $40 on this particular model that included the real kick pedal and choking cymbal.
If I had to give any "con" on this at all I would say the drum module/brain feels just a little cheap and it would be super useful if the function buttons lit up so you could see what's going on without a light. It isn't a piece of crap by any means though! It has tons of good features including the ability to easily integrate these drums with any software VST programs like Superior Drummer, or Addictive Drums etc. Very easy to map everything and it works perfectly. Highly recommend this kit to basically anyone who either needs a nice quiet practice kit, or something like I'm doing which is using it to help with song arrangements and ideas. 4 out of 5 stars only because the module could have been done a little better. Great buy!
