I'm very pleased with the quality of this item, and the price of it was mind blowing. You're getting dual, folks, at a very affordable price. I'm just now doing this review because I had to wait until another cable arrived. Let me tell you, it worked like a charm. It gave that buzzing and humming noise the boot. I'm loving how Pyle is giving us nice products that can deliver and that are well within a lot our budgets. I intend on getting the recorder by Pyle as well. So, keep up the great work cause not everyone can afford to spend big bucks--taking nothing away from those well-deserved honors that BSS and Whirlwind,etc... possess because they've earned it--just saying it's nice to find a budget alternative.

Step Up 2 the Mic

The is an excellent mic. I could not believe how great the quality was for the price it was listed. It's not heavy. It is medium weight. I know some individuals elsewhere have reported that this mic possesses a bright sound quality. I've experienced a little different. The cord is of great quality. It feels like it will last for quite some time. The shock mount is nice. If you want to get the full sound/quality of sound from the mic, it is advisable that you purchase a phantom power supply that will provide you with 48 volts of power as this is a condenser mic. You will also need a XLR male to female cable to go along with the power supply or mixer. With that said, you can, however, plug the cable that comes with the mic into an external USB sound card and that will supply somewhere between 2.4 to 4.40 volts that actually get delivered to your mic via the cord. Of course, that depends on the external sound card used. Sabrent USB sound cards have gotten rave reviews. Make sure to purchase a mic stand. Condenser mics are not supposed to be handheld as they are ultra sensitive to frequencies. A suspension boom scissor arm stand or a floor stand with a telescope arm/pole or boom arm would be great. They allow reach. I have the latter. Oh, by the way, the wind foam filter does a good job, and it actually doesn't look too bad on the mic. But if you don't want it on during recording, 'cause you don't want to cover that shiny grill, then please keep it for when you are not using the mic. It can act as a dust stopper and protect your mic. This mic would look great in silver too. Thanks for a great product. I may be back for more.
