Love these!!
My favorite game of the 1990’s in card form - I have an autistic friend I am trying to collect these for because he loves them and he follows the story carefully. I know the story for the most part since I played tabletop and LARP through the years...and the cards are really awesome. My autistic friend is a man who is incredibly nice and has one of the kindest souls in history, and I am trying to help him gain a group of friends who like the same thing. Local gmail group store here in Oceanside has offered us a space as often as we want for free, so once I put it out as a meetup or opportunity for other autistic teens and adults to participate in, they will have a safe place they can play...and gamers are so kind...they get our brand of “weird” so much. I am looking for any any all cards from any of the versions and releases and boater packs and new decks they added fro Jyhad to VTES to White Wolf taking back the game and almof the expansions and booster decks that were released. I’m going to try to build him a comprehensive book of one of each card in a protective set of books (the actual number they made just for Jyhad was over 500 unique cards, many were reprinted for VTES. And they made less cards for subsequent releases!) So I am hoping to collect one of each, then take the rest and put them in boxes so that he can pick his own decks out (I have the vampires and other cards separated)...and all are alphabetized so he can access quickly and efficiently. We may end up having enough to find others who may not have cards and we can set them up with enough cards to at least stay some decks.
I don’t have many cards now not even close to a full deck of any of the releases, just bits here and there...one store has a lot of what I need, but Rick makes you pay $35 before he will ship anymore for free, and I can’t afford the charge of shipping g for that many single cards (or just a few at a time). I’m mostly looking for people who are okay selling to someone who promises they are not collectors ; look my name up anywhere online and you can see I am just a person who works hard to improve the lives of the autistic community. I am not wealthy. I have financial aid for school and disability for my own issues...my sons and I are autistic...I just want to see people happy. Not having friends can be an incredibly lonely existence...and I hope I can get lots of people That understand each other and they can hopefully develop friendships and have fun while doing it...so there is so much good that can come of this...I just have a belief that the more autistic people can feel happy with themselves and learn they’re not so different from everyone else that they must not be welcome in some common places, they’re actually beautiful and have the same want for companionship that all of us do. I know I appreciate my friends. My sons do too. Autistic individuals love their friends and would do anything for them. I don’t know this man well, but he is wonderful and kind and my children really enjoy his friendship. He helps around my house and never asks for anything. He is going to be wild when he sees this final project. If I can get cards donated, if I can buy them at good prices, and get the unsealed boxes that I can find to let him have the excitement of finding them like he would a brand new package, which haven’t been sold since the mid-1990’s!
Unlike any other game until this, no RPG had even come close to literally ended it’s storyline. vampire did this...they ended their game...found a way to wrap it up nicely...we will ignore the mess that was Requiem, but now they’re back with the 5th edition book that brings it round to the original 13 clans, does away with all the companion books, and is simple...easy to play and focuses on emotions...and topics like keeping your humanity even when people tell you that you’re less than human...when you’re different from the others and treated the same...I look forward to playing the 5th Tabletop version.
I want to get this entire set and all of the other I can find - if I can get every one of them, it will be more a present for me than him...my happiness comes from that i see in others. I am so happy that I am doing this and I hope I can find a full set, enough for multiple sets for his entry into the JYHAD/VTES card playing world, and hey,maybe even be able to create decks to give to others I the group who can’t afford them or maybe a “lending library” if there are many who need loaner cards to play.
I am a dreamer...and I plan big!

I Kant Imagine a Better Philosophy 101 Text... ;)
This is a fantastic, comprehensive collection of information, history, and background from both Eastern and Western philosophy, from pre-Socratic philosophy to modern era philosophers. It’s a great value for a college textbook, and this won’t be one I plan to resell! I have been reading philosophy for years, so many of the names in this book are very familiar to me, but there are so many great treasures of information I’d never known of before - right now we are in Chapter 2, and reading about Eastern religions... it’s an accelerated college course for fall semester, and since the Professor took out a few chapters, I’ll have some extra reading material after the class is over, which is a bonus!
The book is neatly structured, and easily digested - with multiple different perspectives and fellow philosophers weighing in on concepts and principles - it’s one of the most comprehensive and fun readings I’ve ever been presented with in any formal course.
Whether you’re going to be using this in your class or you’re simply interested in a comprehensive collection that covers nearly every fundamental aspect of philosophy, you’re going to enjoy this book.
Apparently they’ve released an updated version of the book, but so little changed that this book is still very relevant and doesn’t require the additional cost of the updated version. My professor is the head of our college’s philosophy department, and this is my second course with her. She’s a phenomenal resource when it comes to this kind of information, and she picks the most compelling material...so I’m very pleased with this book so far.
This covers everything from what philosophy is as a process and as a discipline, as well as the multiple types of philosophy. When you’re done with this book, you’ll definitely understand what it means to be a philosopher, and you’ll appreciate the ability to think critically, logically, and use reason to craft a well thought out argument. You’ll also learn how to form a good argument, and when you’re done, you’ll understand why I say losing an argument is actually winning.
I can’t say enough great things about this particular book, and I usually find college philosophy texts to be dry. This is an engaging read, and you’ll be left wanting to delve deeper into the subject.
