husqvarna 445 chainsaw
0 of 1 found this helpful I bought this saw for limbing trees that I use for fire wood. It has proven to be a wise decision! Mine has a 18" bar on it and it works fine, but I think the 16" bar would be a better choice for the number of cc's it has. It cuts thru some of the bigger stuff I cut quite well, but I can stop the chain if I force it much. I have a stihl ms310 with a 20" bar on it that I use for the bigger stuff, but personally I think the 445 is built just as well as the stihl. The chainbrake is not as smooth, but other than that there is no difference between the 2 if you take everything into consideration. It seems to be very well built and very strong. The x-torq motor has lots of power and it is slightly quieter than my stihl. Right out of the box it started on the 3rd pull! For a brand new saw I think that is a tribute to the workmanship. There seems to be a lot less vibration than most of the other saws I have run. Before I bought this saw I researched some saws that I had in mind. This saw was one of them and it has so far lived up to its reputation. Power, low vibration, smooth running, fast cutting, and compression release were touted as some of the advantages of it and there was no exaggeration on any of them. I am very happy with my purchase and will maybe look at a 570 when my stihl gives up the ghost! That says a lot coming from a devout stihl man that has never had any problems with his stihls! If the bigger husqvarnas handle and cut like this one, I will switch to them. Just the less vibration makes it worth it. You dont have to pry your hands off the saw at the end of the day with them. Thanks for a good saw at a reasonable price!

perfect!
These batteries come in the factory box and work perfectly. I have bought these quite a few times over the years and never had a problem with one of them. So much more economical than purchasing them in a store.

Best chain out there!
I cut 10-20 cords of wood a year. Not a lot by some standards but enough. I have stihl, husqvarna, and jonsered saws. I routinely cut logs 40 inches across that can only be put on the splitter with a skidloader and grandsons. I dont have the patience to screw around with a dull chain and when I sharpen it, it had better stay sharp for a while. I have used stihl chains, oregon chains, and just about every off brand chain out there. The 8ten chains honestly hold up the best. If you dont heat it up when sharpening it, it holds an edge well. It is by far the best deal especially if you buy them in lots. My grandson just got a new stihl saw for his birthday. I bought these 2 8ten chains for him. If you look closely you can see the difference. I cant say enough about them. I am 66 years old and have had saws and such all my life. Buy an 8ten chain for your saw. You wont be disappointed. Hope this helps.
