Questioned the side bar stabilllity.

The side bar that guides the fabric under the needle seemed a little wobbly. That being said, I measured the seam after a 20 inch test run and it was indeed one fourth inch. Still the bar is thin and could potentially bend with the push of the fabric as it passes. Should, I think, be used with that in mind.

Reliable, and just feels right.

This is a second cutter of this type, for my travel quilt bag. Have used this type for almost twenty years and simply love it. No frills, no fuss, just a good useable, reliable cutter, that feels right in my hand.
