Through the wall generator hook up.
I installed this through the Wall Kit at my daughters house next door. This way I can feed her electricity off my generator during a power outage. It's an easy install, everything needed is provided in the kit. I've given it a test run and everything worked just fine. During a winter storm it will be nice not having to have a cord through a door or window. Install it now and be ready for that next storm or power outage.

A small generator might be better than a large generator, some times.
I purchased the Yamaha generator to provide power to my house during a power outage. I live in a city and wanted something quiet and dependable. This 2000/1600 watt unit will run my furnace, fridge, and some lights. It is small, so I can carry it, and it does not have a battery. I have a big generator and found the battery dead the last time I went to start it. I put an adapter on it so I can run propane, natural gas, or gasoline. It uses much less fuel than a large generator. While you sleep you just need your furnace and fridge powered.

SSN2000 Furnace Ignitor
Anyone can replace their furnace Ignitor, and save a couple hundred dollars. I had one on hand, after reading that these Silicon Nitride Ignitors are stronger and last longer than the OEM Ignitor. When my furnace stopped working I could see that the ignitor had stopped working and replaced it in about 15 minutes. It was the middle of winter and a Sunday; a service call would have been hundreds of dollars. For about $20 I had the furnace going again and ordered another that day, to have on hand. My understanding is, that the OEM ignitor is so delicate that you can brake it installing it. That's why this Universal Silicon Nitride Ignitor is so good, it is much stronger.
