Strong suction, easy to use
1 of 1 found this helpful This vacuum has very strong suction, and therefore will pull things out of carpet that you didn't know were there! If you desire to reduce how strong it is, there is a sliding suction control switch on the handle. Love that it is HEPA, to control dander and dust redistribution. I am a live-long customer of Kenmore canister vacuums, so am a little biased perhaps, but I absolutely HATE uprights. They are okay for carpet, (although too big to fit under furniture successfully), but don't work well on hard floors. This Kenmore Elite can handle both seamlessly! The only drawback to removing the hard floor attachment from the carpet attachment is that you have to walk back and get the carpet attachment that you took off when you run into more carpet. A small price to pay for clean floors, I'd say.
