The Threads Gave Way In Installation

The threads in both of the top holes stripped out during the initial installation. The metal seemed weak and the threads were not machined accurately. I ended up buying a mount from different manufacturer. The rubber looked OK, but the thread issue made the mount unusable.

I'm using it on my 95 Buick Skylark where the original rubber had worn out. Fits in the front console cup holder well enough and holds those big drink cups snugly.
