Great chapter book for young readers
Really a great chapter book for young readers. I really like the way the author wove many ancient tales about fairies into the story. Pennwick is the name of a fairy who lives in the woods behind the home of J.R., a boy who can't seem to get anything right. J.R. learns to overcome his fears from the delightful fairy who also explains why it is important to preserve his home - the old growth forest. ... so the book also has an important theme about conservation and nature.

This is a wonderful children's picture book with a valuable message about setting goals in life. The illustrations by Dan Roberts are simply beautiful. The kids love this book.
