Great music and above all, the playing.
A little pricey, but well worth the money. As usual the Hyperion sound is first-rate. Enjoy.

Lightweight with great features.
Could you please stop using those juvenile phrases. It insults my mind. Do you really think, the people who buy this music talk that way?

What's not to like!
I have heard this great music played by other cellist's, but was not prepared for what awaited me with this issue. Warner Brothers have done a great job maintaining the old EMI sound, but the real star hear is Rostropovich. Nothing else compares and I don't say that often. A hefty price for this double cd may make prospective buyer think hard before comitting, but the purity and beauty of this music will win out.
