Clamp Meter UT-210E, 100A, 600V AC&DC
5 of 5 found this helpful Let me start by saying, that I wholeheartedly recommend this product for amateur electronics enthusiasts.
Those who research Clamp Meters, will find comments both praising and criticising this meter. Here's the kicker, both are true. I will get to specifics, but important things to consider are, valve for money and relevance to your area of interest.
One article I read which included this meter, compared 5 clamp meters, and concluded by recommending the most expensive of them as the best. I found that to be disingenuous. They were correct that the most expensive provided the most accurate readings, however, you pay for the privilege.
The UT-210E is a good, low cost, general purpose tool. It will give you AC & DC Amp readings to a precision of 10mA on the 2A setting. In circumstances where readings of 1mA or lower are required, I recommend cutting the connection & inserting an in line meter. I believe this to be a reasonable recommendation, when the alternative is to pay an order of magnitude more for a more accurate readout from a clamp meter.
The UT-210E is reasonable on battery life, size, weight, range of functionality, accuracy & price. The cons are the previously mentioned precision on clamp readings, the fact that it defaults to AC readings, where DC would be more convenient for the majority of users, and the more annoying characteristic, that it needs to be zeroed often, practically between each reading. I point out that zeroing is performed at the touch of a button; hardly an arduous imposition.
At this price point, everyone can afford to have a clamp meter. That is the most persuasive argument in favour of the UT-210E.

A collectors fancy. The OO Gauge 4-2-2 19th century Achilles Class, Duke Of Edinburgh, Locomotive is chosen for its historical context, rather than for its practical application.
Having said that, traction for this model is improved by the inclusion of discretely imbedded rubber tyres on the drive wheels, with power supplied from all 8 wheels, for uninterrupted power supply to the motor.
Beautifully and practically packaged, this model also comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Understand Behaviours, Road Rage to Holocaust
I would love to see this text as required School Curriculum Reading Material.
It could be introduced at Year 6 & discussed in greater detail in year 9.
The book provides well documented and expansive accounts of how any one of us could be manipulated into behaving badly.
Knowledge is power, and this knowledge will allow you to see through simplistic slogans and labels which might otherwise influence your thoughts, feelings and even your actions.
It will provide you with an opportunity to more selectively choose your responses.
I highly recommend this book.
