A VINTAGE MOVIE THAT ADDRESSES THE PROBLEM OF TEENAGE SUICIDE IN OUR LGBTQ SOCIETY
5 of 7 found this helpful In this very compelling movie - not a dull moment - ROBBY BENSON, the voice of THE BEAST in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Disney's Animated treasure, is full of energy, and his boyish charm is irresistible. His romance with the neighbor's daughter (GLYNNIS O'CONNOR) is wonderfully refreshing and energetic. They are explosive together. But neither Billy Joe nor his girlfriend knows that he is gay, and spends the night with a local man, and is so ashamed in his girlfriend's eyes. He tries desperately to regain their passion, but alas... CANNOT. He tells her what he has done with the local man - that he has slept with a man - and she tries to understand and comfort him. He goes off to be alone and think about everything. He disappears. Two days later, he is dragged from the river bottom - dead. Included is, of course, the haunting and moving song from the 70's songstress: BOBBIE GENTRY singing ODE TO BILLY JOE, which was popular on the radio in that era. Get the tissues out. This is a tear-jerker. The sad loss of such a bright and promising young man - lost. IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS LGBTQ, DON'T PULL AWAY OR CONDEMN THEM. PLEASE BE A SUPPORTIVE FORCE IN THEIR LIFE. IT MAY MEAN A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH TO THEM. THANK YOU, AND GOD BLESS YOU.

A CHERISHED COLLECTION FOR THE MUNSTERS LOVER IN YOU!

I thought I was a MUNSTERS fan before - life for the past 40+ years since it has been in re-runs when I was growing up in my early adolescence - but this collection is killer! It has the original never-run, previously unaired pilot, which features an alternate LILY and EDDIE, and is done in color. For the MUNSTERS aficionado, it is a treasure. Then, if that were not enough to WOW you, this collection features the colorized version of the "FAMILY PORTRAIT" episode, and ... (you guys will love this if you've never seen the MUNSTERS full-length movies) ... "MUNSTER, GO HOME," and a later movie called, "THE MUNSTER'S REVENGE." GO FOR IT!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

TASTE OF A CHURCH-CHOIR-SOUNDING INTERPRETATION OF THE CHRISTMAS CLASSICS
I love this album of Christmas classics from the 1960's when Mitch Miller and his "gang" were popular. I grew up listening to it at Christmastime, compliments of my dear mom. She herself sang first chair in the choir at Bob Jones University, and once was contracted to sing in New York with the Metropolitan Opera. So, no wonder her tastes went to this very church-choir sounding chorus. There's a simplistic beauty in the almost religious way in which this choir interprets these great Christmas songs, and I love it because it brings my mom - now parted from me - a little closer, Hope you enjoy it, too.
