Good system but...
1 of 1 found this helpful Basically nothing wrong with this at all, but didn't realize there would be compatibility issues not only with other cameras but also with Night Owl. Basically I was going to upgrade our existing DVR from 4 channels to eight, keep 4 existing cameras and add 4 more. In the end found out that we couldn't use existing wiring and existing cameras, so now I have to buy 4 more 1080p cameras, and that isn't easy to find as most places sell the package including the DVR. And guess what - 4 extra cameras as far as I can tell so far will cost almost as much as the boxed DVR with cameras included.
Moral of this story is do your research first and don't assume all cameras work with all DVR's. I should have just started over and bought a DVR/8 camera package and saved myself a lot of time & money.
