Great upgrade to the old plastic OEM latches
The swim platform on a new (to me) 2001 Malibu was in rough shape so I wanted to restore it. The old plastic Southco latch still worked but was beaten up from wear and multiple coats of urethane and I wanted to replace it. This latch dropped right in without any modification. Works great and makes the deck now look factory new.
I don't foresee having to change this in my lifetime but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to use this again.

Great compliment to the 20v lineup
1 of 3 found this helpful I really like this machine. It's got a ton of power and has tackled any task I've given it without even blinking. I not only use it as a cutoff tool but also attach a twisted wire brush for removing rust. I used to use a air powered die grinder and the results aren't even comparable.
If there is a drawback, it is that the machine is so powerful it will fling parts of a cutoff disk at dangerous speeds (not the tool's fault of course) so I always make certain the guard is in place and between me and the "object" when in cutoff mode.
The fact that it works in the 20v lineup is just the icing on the cake. I have 2 sets of 20v tools and have added this to both sets.

Perfect replacement for my 7.4L Merc
I wanted a spare carb to swap out when I need to have a carb rebuilt. These days parts for old carbs are becoming more difficult to find and I was happy to find a cost effective alternative.
I installed it within 15 minutes and she fired up right out of the box with no adjustments needed. It even had an upgraded electric choke to replace the old style spring version.
I've read some articles that the chrome plating is not as corrosion proof as other types of coatings; I suppose time will tell.
In the meantime, I am quite satisfied with the results.
