!!! WARNING !!! You might break it
In the product reference manual (not included, but searchable online in PDF form), there is an option called "Fast HID Keyboard." DO NOT SCAN THIS OPTION!!! Upon doing so, the unit immediately turns off and won't turn back on again, EVER! Two units I received have been rendered useless this way. Other than that, it works fine. Note that many of these units have a Ctrl+K, Ctrl+U key combination prefix baked into the firmware, meaning that this combination of keys is pressed before the actual data is typed in. Someone on a forums site has managed to fix this quite easily. Google is your friend.

How to use SerComm IP522CG V2
To "learn" the devices to each other, hold down the Security button for a few seconds and release. The power LED starts blinking. Plug another adapter in nearby and do the same. After a brief moment, the power LED on both adapters should stop blinking and the PLC Link indicator should light up. The adapters are ready to use. To add another adapter, hold down its Security button and do the same to an adapter that has already been joined. The new adapter should be added to the network.
