AmScope DC-B490 Dust Cover For Full-Size Standard Microscopes (M)

Utilitarian and to the point.

I bought this for a [Zeiss] aus Jena Laboval 4 microscrope which is quite large, and it fits with room to spare. The plastic is quite thick and gives the impression of being reasonably strong and durable. There is little else to add.

Sturdy and versatile stand.

Overall, a nice and sturdy unit, with a hefty base, generally strong-looking parts and versatility, I have mounted an Olympus VMZ which is quite a heavy microscope, it the stand handles that well. One small criticism: the bolts that tighten the clamps around the main vertical column have plastic knobs- these don't look terribly durable and it would be nice if they were steel.

I use this with a 100X oil immersion and see no problems with it.
