Replacement for Factory Original
These arm rests tend to break pretty easily. When my replacement for the original broke recently I found this one on ebay. This part is a replacement for the factory original part and fits in with two screws. It is easily installed and fits perfectly.

Friulmodel Metal Tracks for German Tiger I ATL-06
2 of 2 found this helpful I've long put off using white metal tracks but I planned on doing a SturmTiger and the Tamiya kit I have had individual link plastic tracks. Not wanting to use those I ordered a set of Friulmodel tracks. To put it simply, these tracks are nothing short of stunning.
The set comes with 220 links (my set actually contained more) divided into two bags and a length of brass wire to use as the track pins. The individual links are crisply molded with no flash and all mold gates removed. All that is required is to drill the holes for the pins, insert the pin and clip the wire to length. I used a short cut with my set... I used standard staples with one of the short legs bent straight for the pins. The remaining bent leg is helpful to add or subtract links when fitting and when the proper length is achieved, just clip off the bent portion and push the pin in. A caution though... don't drill completely through on the wide part of the track. start a hole in that last section, but do not go all the way through. The pin will be held by this and not so all the way through.
Once done, the tracks can be weathered with your choice of method and once installed the weight of the tracks give a realistic sag that is hard to achieve with individual link plastic tracks. I highly recommend Fruilmodel tracks for all armored vehicles where a realistic sag is required or where it is necessary to replace substandard plastic individual link tracks.

Monogram P-38 Lightning, still great after all these years!
1 of 1 found this helpful I first built this kit in the mid 1970s and it dated back from the early 1960s (mine was marked 1964 in the inner surface of the wing). I loved it for the sheer number of versions that you could make from one kit. The kit comes molded in silver plastic. Older versions of this kit tend to be very brittle but newer releases under the Revell tag are molded from a much softer plastic. The base kit is a good replica of the P-38L with the landing light in the leading edge of the let wing. You can also build the P-38J with the landing light installed in the bottom of the left wing (you have to open up the hole for the lens and paint over the leading edge landing light), the P-38J Pathfinder (Droop Snoot) with the glass nose for a bombardier, the F-5B Photo Reconnaissance version and the P-38M Night Fighter. The propellers will spin, though you need to pay attention to the way they are installed. The Props should spin outward at the top of the prop arc. The Pilot's Canopy and gun bay door can be made to be openable. The gun compartment comes complete with four .50 caliber machineguns and the 20mm cannon molded into the gun tray itself. The wheels can be made to roll if you flare the ends of the shafts with a heated screwdriver or knife blade after the wheels are installed. I used the head of a nail instead as it makes the flare a bit neater. Underwing stores include drop tanks, 1000lb bombs and rocket launchers. Decals included in this kit are for four different planes; One L version, the Droop Snoot, the F-5B and the night fighter. This venerable old kit has stood the test of time, still looking better than some more modern releases and is well worth the price, coming in less than most modern kits that only make one or two versions.
