Really Good BALA
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my fav bala. It is well constructed, medium stretch, warm and has a mesh "port" for breath to transfer without leaving a wet/frozen spot in cold weather. I use it under my motorcycle helmet for cold weather rides.

Excellent Shooters Cut
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought a set of these with the shown curved, modified shooters cut and put them in my Condor MOPC MOLLE vest in tan. The plates fit VERY well in this carrier and I tried many shooting positions that traditionally snag with a full plate. You can extend your arms completely out in front with no binding as well as pieing corners with none of the sometimes stiff straight ahead bind while attempting to twist/bend at the same time. They come with a spall/frag coat applied. It is not thick but I like to think it will do the job. Independent test on the net showed good stopping potential through .308 and repeated hits. Combining these plates with good backing (it may stop the bullet but that energy HURTS) in a good fitting carrier makes the arrangement easy to wear for longer periods of time and provide protection while instructing at the range or whatever may come. This cut fits me well and coverage is very good with an easy mobility I had not had in other carriers/plates over the years.

Original part/Winter Trigger
This is a great find for any Garand owner and a big thank you for this seller to locate and post these for sale. These are original WINTER TRIGGERS that were a godsend to and Soldier/Marine/Sailor who served in a cold climate with their Garands. It simply slips over the trigger, forms a cantilever system that when the flat, non slip section OUTSIDE the trigger guard is squeezed the rifle fires. If you ever was shooting in below zero weather (like I had to with the Alaska State Troopers. We qualified outdoors in any weather.) with thick gloves or mittens, forget that open finger type of glove-it is still too cold to have fingers exposed to -50+ degrees below zero even for a minute or so, because fight like you train. Anyway, with this type of trigger assist you stand a better chance of not freezing your fingers off AND delivering accurate fire. As always, practice until proficient with it as you must be careful, just like with the regular trigger, that there is no accidental discharge. Be sure safety is on until ready to fire.
