It does the job elegantly.
5 of 5 found this helpful The Bose Radio IV came in a timely manner. It has no visible scratches or dings, appearing virtually new. It was packaged in an original box with what appeared to be a new instruction book and remote. Set-up was easy. Simple controls.
Sound is a bit boomy but overall pleasant to my aged ears. There is one setting for lower base response but that also seems to blunt or blur the midrange and treble response. Again, overall pleasant sound, certainly adequate for a bedside unit. No built-in Bluetooth but there is an AUX port so I can plug in my devices and stream Spotify or other music source. Alternatively, the AUX port could be used for an inexpensive wireless receiver box to allow wireless streaming.
There are two alarm settings which would be helpful for a working person with separate weekday and weekend schedules (I am retired). I do like the touch-top control that allowsfor a simple touch to cancel an alarm or turn on or off the radio so I don't have to fumble in the dark. Note that all settings are otherwise dependent on the remote, SO DON'T LOSE IT!
I am overall happy with this unit. Not state-of-the-art, but it does the job elegantly.
