Worked great!
The Firering made the install very clean. It was much easier to hide the cable than if I had used a normal connector. Soldering the PL-259 was very easy as well.

Does not work without additional support.
1 of 2 found this helpful I installed this tailgate lock on my 2014 Tacoma, following the instructions. Installation was easy. However, after installing I found out that it would not lock my tailgate. The locking mechanism went into place just like it should, but if you pull with any force on the tailgate handle, the tailgate would open anyway. I took it back apart, and found that the problem is in the way that it mounts to only one bolt in the tailgate. The lock was simply moving on the bolt and allowing the tailgate to open. I purchased a support bracket for the lock from tacomatruckparts that adds extra support for the lock, and problem solved. If you are considering buying this lock, keep in mind that you will have to add additional support whether buying a bracket like I did or making your own.

Low quality.
Spend a little more and get a better set. This one is cheap junk.
