Great performance, good value
3 of 4 found this helpful I originally had an Intel PUMA-based chip which was causing noticeable delays in loading web pages due to recognized jitter issues. This modem is based on a Broadcom chipset which doesn't suffer those issues, and I notice my web browsing has gotten smoother. For objective data, please look at jitter graphs posted online by various enthusiasts.
My ISP needed a DOCSIS 3.1 modem for my 500 mbps connection (I know DOCSIS 3.0 theoretically supports 500 mbps, but it uses up too many of the available frequency channels and many ISPs don't support this in practice unless you have a 3.1 modem). As of March 2019 DOCSIS 3.1 modems are relatively expensive but I got a good deal here, making it a good value proposition.
It runs warm and you should take this into account when placing it.
