Impossible to assemble unless you're an octopus
Lovely wood. But I've had it for two weeks now and cannot get it together. Perhaps the holes are drilled in the wrong places. I've assembled many, many much more complex pieces of furniture, but this one has proven to be undoable. One simply can't hold each of the three shelves at the same time and have the predrilled holes line up. I figure that if I had 13 hands, I could hold each of the 4 corners of the 3 shelves with 12 of my hands, and use the Allen wrench with the 13th hand.
At present, I am waiting for a few people to come and help me, and perhaps this might work, but I doubt it. I think the holes are not drilled so that they will line up. I'm using the end table right now with just the top shelf. That was easy enough to assemble. It's just that the predrilled holes don't seem to be in the right places for the bottom two shelves to fit in. I've tried loosening the top at all four corners while I try to line up a second shelf, but nothing is working. It should not be so complex. I've assembled chests of drawers myself with no problems in the past. I can't figure out what is wrong with this item.
It is way too heavy for me to want to pay postage to send it back. It is lovely in the photo. I'm hoping that with three other people to help, perhaps we can get at least two of the shelves to fit in at the same time.

Looks like new!
Beautiful product that looks like new. I bought two of these. Very pleased. They have made the scroll button work like it originally did. One would never know in using this that it isn't brand new.
