Disappointed
0 of 1 found this helpful Pros: It is long enough to give a decent extension for your 1" to 1 1/8" threadless style conversion.
Cons: Low quality. Does not have a top cap. Bolt is recessed very far into the stem requiring an extra long hex wrench to install it. If left in rain, water will collect in the top of this, or seep through your fork tube eventually. I feel tricked because there are only side pictures of this item, so you never see that there is no top cap.

No frame geometry details
The title, cover art, and description gave me the distinct impression that there would be technical drawings about the geometry of the frames that are featured in this book. That is not the case at all. While the photos are stunning, and the information is thorough, the book really only details specifics about road bikes and touring bikes. Ultimately it feels like a masturbatory catalog of William's bike collection, rather than a comprehensive detailing of Japanese design.
