Good design, Great fun
3 of 3 found this helpful I decided to go for a 2DS because while I wanted the latest handheld system, I don't like the 3D options or hinged design of the 3DS. The 3D effects bother my eyes, and with a 3DS that feature can switch on accidentally. That is impossible on a 2DS, and since it is of a more solid design, I prefer how the 2DS feels in my hands. All of the games and features are about the same otherwise between the two systems. Sleep mode is activated by a switch and the sound system is mono without headphones, which took a little bit to get used to. But it's pretty great. I went for this model specifically because I liked the color. I lost Mario Kart 7 during my system transfer, so I never got to try that out. But I bought it for the design and color, so that is what I am satisfied with. All in all, I'm quite happy with my "brick."
