You can’t go wrong with Casio
0 of 1 found this helpful I was looking for an inexpensive red watch and I had narrowed my search down to a Phobos Nymph or a red Casio G-Shock 5600 when I found this watch for under $20. The Illuminator is less expensive than a G-Shock, and it is also a better fit for my small wrist.
The watch is easy to set up and has the usual high level of Casio reliability. My only complaint is that the case and band are made of smooth, slippery plastic. I would have preferred a finish with a little more texture and less shine, but that is a minor gripe compared to the overall function and value of the watch.

Decent case, but poor protection for the screen
It fits on the phone OK but the edges of the case are either flush with the screen or just slightly above it, so it doesn't protect the screen well. I had a similar case (Q Case, I believe) for my S4 on which the edges extended up at least 1/16" on all sides of the screen so I could lay the phone down screen-down and not have to worry about it. It does hold two cards nicely, which is the main reason I wanted this case.

Amazing zoom range for the price
I bought a used SX60 in August 2019 because I am fascinated by its telephoto zoom. I normally use a Sony RX10 III but I wanted to see what the world looked like beyond 600mm.
I used Canon DSLRs for years, so it didn’t take me long to get used to Canon’s menus again. The EVF is perfectly fine, I know some people rave about the increased resolution on the SX70’s EVF but that’s not a biggie for me. I also read complaints about the SX60’s low resolution compared to the SX70 (16 MP vs. 20, I believe) but with a sensor this small I don’t know how much difference you would see in prints. I will probably only use this camera for social media photos anyway.
Another reason I didn’t get the newer SX70 is because that camera’s .CR3 RAW files aren’t supported by DxO Photo Lab (which I use instead of Lightroom) yet. The small sensor doesn’t always give you the dynamic range you would like, so it is nice to be able to pull extra details in from RAW files. I considered getting a Nikon P900 instead, but since that camera doesn’t shoot RAW I went with the Canon.
Also, I use a flash on occasion. I doubt I ever will with this camera, but at least it has a hot shoe in case I want to set up some remote strobes. The newer SX70 does not have a hot shoe.
So far I can think of two lacking features that might have made me give the camera five stars - a faster frame rate and auto switching between EVF and the back LCD.
I have only used the camera once so far, for some ATV races at our county fair. It was a sunny day, and I was pleased at how well the autofocus performed. I took quite a few photos at full zoom, but I had to rest the camera on a fence to be able to keep a steady hold. If the fence had not been there I would have used my monopod.
The attached photo was taken at full zoom.
