This plug works with Linux, on a Raspber...
This plug works with Linux, on a Raspberry PI, with an open source driver. The RMS voltage reads correctly as true RMS. The plug has to be first configured using an android app, before it will respond to the Linux drivers; but that's fine for my application. As for monitoring power, the current sensor on the device has an accuracy sensing only down to 100mW. So my soldering iron registers either 100mW high or low. 25.1/25.9 = 0.8% error max. Reed relay makes reliability medium.

Potassium Ferrocyanide / yellow Prussiate (not blue).
1 of 1 found this helpful Product came in a slightly different bottle than shown in picture, but the container was more robust. Container was properly labeled with appropriate cautionary statements, Product was uniform, and had no clumping or sticking to container. I received a properly hydrated high quality product. Disposal suggestions were not on label, but Wikipedia lists Potassium Ferrocyanide as compatible with animal feed and with low toxicity to humans; Therefore product should be safe to dispose of in dry landfills or places where fish and aquatic life do not live. Follow your local laws and dump regulations to prevent harm to aquatic life before using near watersheds, streams, lakes or rivers.

A beautiful entry level pyx for occasional home use.
This is a stamped metal pyx. The outside has a typical thin coating of golden metal. It looks fine, but with time (as with most pyx's) the coating will patina badly and scratch off in places. There does not appear to be any protective coating on the metal, but the image is coated. To make this kind of pyx last, you might want to talk to someone who does jewelry and have the finish protected by a silicone, urethane (eg: minwax), or UV cured clear coat. The picture shown on ebay has a rough appearance above the cache button. That is probably some kind of camera/lighting issue. The pyx I have looks better than that. There is a smooth curve where the cache holds the lid down. There is no roughened and uneven bump. However the button on my pyx is a darker brass, unlike the picture. So, if you buy this pyx, expect minor variations in appearance. The inside is lined with pleasant off white /ivory material. The strongly embedded insert prevents hosts from sitting on any of the stamped corregation (rings) on the bottom of the pyx. The inside of the lid, likewise, has a ring of metal outside; but the center of the lid is the hardened back of the lamb/cross. The inside lining looks thick enough that it shouldn't crack. That part is well made. The hinge is probably the weakest point of the design. It's merely a tab of metal from the lid which is folded through a punched slot. That makes the lid a little stiff when opening because the hinge rubs against the body. eg: it's is not a "round" hinge. I am doubtful about how long the hinge will last. It either has to wear itself smooth and wear off the hinge's gold coating, or else the repeated bending of the metal may cause it to crack. If you seldom use the pyx, I think it will be fine. If you need to bring communion to the elderly or sick family members on a regular basis, I would be concerned that the hing will wear out. There is also no easy way to place a neck string on the pyx. There are holes next to the hinge, but a string can not go through them because the hinge is in the way. A split metal ring could go into each hole about 1/8th inch (~3mm) without affecting the hinge. Getting the right size split ring may prove difficult.. As to the rest of the design; What you see in the picture *is* exactly what you get. It is quite pretty in my option. The cost is quite reasonable for what is offered..
